Hubungan Mengikuti Mata Kuliah Public Speaking dengan Kepercayaan Diri Berbicara Mahasiswa

Abstract


As a Public Relations notaben it must be able to communicate well, especially public speaking, it takes its own technique to be honed and trained in order to form a strong soft skills. To that end, so that one can have a good speaking ability, there are several theories that can be learned. One of them is public speaking. Judging from the importance of understanding about public speaking, the Faculty of Communication Sciences Universitas Islam Bandung enter public speaking courses for students Public Relations, to allow students to hone skills in public speaking and so that later students can graduate with good soft skills provision. This study aimed to find out is there a relationship between the participation of students attend public speaking course with changes in students a sense of confidence when speaking in public. This includes research into quantitative research using correlational approach. Data collection techniques in this study conducted by distributing questionnaires. The object of this research is student class of 2012 Public Relations, Faculty of Communication Bandung Islamic University, with a total population of 117 students and pursed in the total sample of 54 students. The sampling technique used in this study is simple random sampling. The hypothesis of this study indicate that there is a relationship between subjects follow public speaking with confidence in public speaking students.
