Optimizing the Utilization of Productive Zakat Fund for the Empowerment of Zakat Mustahiq In PKPU Bandung

Abstract

The distribution of productive zakat certainly needs zakat management institution that is professional and focus on the allocation of zakat fund for productive sectors. PKPU Bandung present as amil zakat institutions that aim to manage zakat as possible, and is expected to be an intermediary for the giver of zakat (muzzaki) in the empowerment of the people, so that people who are below the poverty line can be mentally and financially independent. Based on the background of the problem, then we propose to issue in the form of the following questions: How does the implementation of productive utilization of Zakat funds in the empowerment PKPU mustahiq in Bandung? In addition, how to optimize the productive utilization of Zakat funds in the empowerment PKPU mustahiq in Bandung? The method used here is descriptive; the research outlines the existing conditions and provides an analysis of the phenomenon. Engineering studies using qualitative data analysis techniques based on the results of statistical analysis. In this case, examine the extent of the optimization of the productive utilization of zakat by PKPU Bandung on empowering Mustahiq. The result of this research is that the implementation of the utilization of Zakat funds productively in the empowerment mustahiq in PKPU Bandung performed on the program Swadesi, as zakat distribution in the form of scholarships, and Bina Ternak Qurban, as a form of distribution of zakat funds in the form of venture capital. The other one covers the spending the operational equipment for the Amilin of PKPU who work in Bandung. Finally, the optimizing of the utilization of Zakat funds in the empowerment mustahik in PKPU Bandung is good.
