Quantitative Analysis of Dibutyl Phthalate In Bulk And Packaged Cooking Oil By High Performance Liquid Chromatography With UV Detector

Qualitative and quantitative analysis of dibutyl phthalate compounds in sample of bulk and packaged cooking oil by High
Performance Liquid Chromatography has been conducted. The research is conducted on four samples, each of the two samples for bulk and packaged cooking oil with a different batch. The results of qualitative analysis with the standard addition method show that the solution chromatography sample added by comparator standard has higher wide areain the same retention, compared with wide area of dibutyl phthalate on an only standard solution comparator and the sample solution. The results of quantitative analysis show the concentration of the analyte in the sample A1 and A2, bulk cooking oil sample is13.92 and 19.22 ppm, in sample B1 and B2; packaged cooking oil is 8.60 dan 7.17 ppm. According to the Regulation of the Head of National
Agency of Drug and Food of the Republic of Indonesia Number HK. on the Control of Food Packaging explained that the maximum terms of dibutyl phthalate concentration may migrate into the food is 0.3 ppm.
