Abstract


Abstract. Zingiberaceae has been widely used as traditional medicine, including as an antioxidant. One of the Zingiberaceae member that has antioxidant activity is the Hedychium genus. The aim of this review study was to analyze the potential antioxidant activity from wild ginger (Hedychium roxburhii BI.) rhizome in tern of chemotaxonomic of the Hedychium genus. The result of this literature review showed that Hedychium genus has natural antioxidant activity

Abstrak. Suku Zingiberaceae merupakan salah satu tumbuhan yang pemanfaatannya sudah banyak digunakan sebagai obat tradisional diantaranya sebagai antioksidan. Salah satu suku zingiberaceae yang memiliki aktivitas sebagai antioksidan adalah tumbuhan marga Hedychium.  Tujuan dari review artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui bahwa rimpang gandasoli hutan (Hedychium roxburghii BI.) memiliki potensi aktivitas antioksidan seperti rimpang gandasoli jenis lainnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam review ini berdasarkan studi literature dari beberapa publikasi ilmiah di jurnal nasional dan internasional aktivitas antioksidan gandasoli menunjukkan bahwa tanaman gandasoli memiliki aktivitas sebagai antioksidan
