Hubungan Status Gizi dengan Fungsi Kognisi pada Siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri 2 Cijambe Kota Bandung Tahun 2016

Abstract


Abstract: The development of children is depend on changes of cognition and perceptual intelegent, that is influenced by a few factors, one of them is factor of nutrition. On the world, at least 2 billion people wasted, though at indonesian the wasted children have increased since 2003 until 2012 was about 27,5% and 8,3% severe wasted. One of the ages group that growth and develop rapidly is since preschool age until 12 age. For measuring the nutrition status on children can using body mass index (BMI)based on age from WHO and measuring cognition function is using Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) that have been modified so that can be used for the children. The purpose of this research to know the relation between nutrition status with cognition function based on MMSE on elemantary school students with 10-12 years old. The research method is observational analytic method with cross-sectional design, equpments for collecting data with checking TB and BB (IMT) to value the nutrition status and questioner MMSE to value cognition function the children. The subject was 144 students with 10-12 years old 4 grade and 5 grade at Elementary School 2 Cijambe Bandung. The result of thie research showed respondent nutrition stutus Obesity = 9.03%, Overweight = 15.97%, Normal = 68.06%, Wassted = 6.25%, Severe wasted = 0.69%. Cognition function Normal = 88.89%, Probable disturbance cognition = 11.11%. The result of Chi-square test showed P>0.05 for relation between nutrition status with cognition function based on MMSE. The conclusion from the research there was no relation between nutrition status with cognition function.

Abstrak: Perkembangan anak berkaitan dengan perubahan dalam kecerdasan kognisi dan perseptual, yang dipengaruhi salah satunya oleh faktor gizi. Di dunia 2 milyar orang kekurangan gizi, sedangkan di Indonesia terdapat peningkatan gizi kurang dari tahun 2003-2013, sekitar 27,5% anak Indonesia kekurangan gizi dan 8,3% mengalami gizi buruk. Salah satu kelompok usia yang mengalami pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pesat yaitu usia prasekolah hingga usia 12 tahun. Untuk pengukuran status gizi pada anak dapat menggunakan pemeriksaan body mass index (BMI) berdasarkan usia dari WHO dan pengukuran fungsi kognisi salah satunya menggunakan Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) yang telah dimodifikasi sehingga dapat digunakan pada anak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara status gizi dengan fungsi kognisi berdasarkan MMSE pada siswa sekolah dasar usia 10-12 tahun. Metode penelitian adalah metode observasional analitik dengan rancangan potong lintang (cross-sectional), alat pengumpulan data dengan pemeriksaan TB dan BB (IMT) untuk menilai status gizi dan kuesioner MMSE untuk menilai fungsi kognisi anak. Subjek yang diambil sebanyak 144 siswa usia 10-12 tahun kelas 4 dan kelas 5 di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 2 Cijambe Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan status gizi responden Obese = 9.03%, Overweight = 15.97%, Normal = 68.06%, Wasted = 6.25%, Severe wasted = 0.69% . Fungsi kognisi Normal = 88,89%, Probable gangguan kognisi = 11,11%. Hasil Chi-square test menunjukan P>0,05 untuk hubungan antara status gizi dengan fungsi kognisi berdasarkan MMSE. Simpulan dari penelitian ini tidak didapatkan hubungan antara status gizi dengan fungsi kognisi.
