Gambaran Status Gizi pada Penderita Osteoporosis Dinilai dari Indeks Massa Tubuh, Lingkar Pinggang, dan Rasio Pinggang Panggul (Kajian Kasus di Poli Ortopedi Rumah Sakit Al-Islam Periode April-Juni 2016)

Abstract


Abstract: Life expectancy improvement and economical growth that increase every year cause chronic disease increased incidence of chronic disease. Osteoporosis is one of chronic disease that increase because improvement of life expectancy. Obesity is one of disease that also increase because improvement of economical growth. Obese people with high index of fat mass have a hisgher risk develop osteoporosis than people with lower fat mass index. The aim of this research was to know the features between nutritional status and incidence in osteoporosis people in Al-Islam Hospital.This research was an observational study using cross-sectional method. The subjects of the research were osteoporotic patient in ortophaedic department in Al-Islam Hospital. Samples chosen by consecutive sampling method. This research is done by see the features of nutritional status in osteoporotic patient by calculate the Body Mass Index (BMI), Waist Circumference (WC), Waist to Hip Ratio (WHR). The research result based upon BMI showed that most of osteoporotic patient that can be categorized in Obesity I people. The research result based upon WC showed that most of osteoporotic patient can be categorized in at risk people.The research result based upon WC showed that most of osteoporotic patient can be categorized in at risk people. 

Abstrak: Peningkatan angka harapan hidup dan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang setiap tahun semakin tinggi menyebabkan peningkatan angka kejadian penyakit kronis. Osteoporosis merupakan salah satu penyakit kronis yang terjadi akibat peningkatan angka harapan hidup. Obesitas pun merupakan penyakit yang meningkat akibat peningkatan status ekonomi masyarakat. Penderita obesitas yang memiliki massa lemak yang tinggi memiliki risiko terkena osteoporosis yang lebih tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran antara status gizi dan kejadian osteoporosis pada pasien osteoporosis di RS Al-Islam Bandung.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi dengan rancangan studi potong lintang. Subjek penelitian merupakan pasien osteoporosis di poli ortopedi RS Al-Islam.. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan metode consecutive sampling. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara melihat gambaran status gizi penderita osteoporosis dengan menghitung Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT), Lingkar Pinggang (LP), dan Rasio Pinggang Panggul (RPP). Hasil penelitian berdasarkan IMT menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar penderita osteoporosis termasuk kategori obesitas 1. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan LP menunjukan sebagian besar penderita termasuk dalam kategori berisiko. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan RPP menunjukkan sebagian besar penderita termasuk dalam kategori berisiko.
