Dampak Pandemi Covid-19 terhadap Perilaku Sedenter pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Islam Bandung

Abstract. Sedentary behavior is behavior performed in a sitting or lying position that can have detrimental effects on health. The Covid-19 pandemic and self-isolation led to limitations in physical activity with increased sedentary behavior. The purpose of this study was to describe sedentary behavior at two times, namely before and during the pandemic. The research design was analytic observational with cross-sectional design, the research subjects consisted of 120 FK Unisba students using snowball sampling technique. Data were collected using the Sedentary Behavior Questionnaire (SBQ) in November-December 2020. The results showed that most students performed high sedentary behavior, namely ≥ 6 hours. Time spent improving sedentary behavior in each type of questionnaire component. Sedentary behavior that was carried out increased significantly during the pandemic, with a p-value of 0.022 <0.05 on weekdays and 0.010 <0.05 on weekends. The conclusion of sedentary behavior carried out by students of Faculty of Medicine Bandung Islamic University, there is an increased during pandemic Covid-19.

Abstrak. Perilaku sedenter merupakan perilaku yang dilakukan dalam posisi duduk atau berbaring yang dapat menimbulkan efek merugikan bagi kesehatan. Pandemi Covid-19 dan isolasi mandiri menyebabkan keterbatasan pada aktivitas fisik disertai dengan peningkatan perilaku sedenter. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku sedenter pada dua waktu yaitu sebelum dan pada masa pandemi. Desain penelitian bersifat analitik observasional dengan rancangan cross-sectional, subjek penelitian terdiri atas 120 orang Mahasiswa FK Unisba dengan menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Sedentary Behaviour Questionnaire (SBQ) pada bulan November-Desembar 2020.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar mahasiswa melakukan perilaku sedenter tinggi yaitu ≥6 jam. Waktu yang dihabiskan untuk perilaku sedenter meningkat pada tiap jenis komponen kuesioner. Perilaku sedenter yang dilakukan mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan pada masa pandemi yaitu dengan nilai p-value 0,022 < 0,05 pada hari biasa dan 0,010 < 0,05 pada akhir pekan. Kesimpulan perilaku sedenter yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Islam Bandung mengalami peningkatan pada masa pandemi.
