Hubungan Jumlah Jam Tidur dan Asupan Kalori Harian dengan Perubahan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Islam Bandung Angkatan 2018

Abstract. Obesity is one of the health problems that include to non-communicable diseases, for the example diabetes mellitus, heart disease, and hypertension. The method used to determine a person's nutritional status is a Body Mass Index (BMI). Sleep duration and calorie intake can affect BMI. Heavy lecture time on Medical Faculty Student is one of the factors that influence the number of hours of sleep. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of the number of hours of sleep with changes in BMI in the Faculty of Medicine, Bandung Islamic University Class of 2018. This type of research is an observational analytic with a prospective cohort design. Data from the number of hours of sleep was taken every 3 days in 1 week using google form and measurements of BMI was taken 2 times taken from measurements of height and weight. The study was conducted in November 2018  to January 2020 and a total sample of 41 people. Data analyzed using Wilcoxon and spearman test. The results of the study showed that there was no significant correlation between the average sleep time and BMI at the end of the observation, but there was a significant correlation (p 0.01) between the average daily calories and BMI at the end of the observation with the average daily calories.

Abstrak. Obesitas merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit tidak menular, seperti diabetes mellitus, penyakit jantung, serta hipertensi. Metode yang dapat digunakan untuk menentukan status gizi seseorang yaitu, Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT). Durasi tidur dan asupan kalori dapat memengaruhi terhadap IMT. Waktu kuliah yang padat pada Mahasiswa Kedokteran menjadi salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi jumlah jam tidur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan jumlah jam tidur dengan perubahan IMT pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Islam Bandung Angkatan 2018. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan desain kohort prospektif. Data dari jumlah jam tidur diambil setiap 3 hari dalam 1 minggu menggunakan google form dan diambil pengukuran IMT yang diambil sebanyak 2 kali diambil dari pengukuran tinggi badan dan berat badan. Penelitian dengan total sampel 41 orang. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan Spearman. Hasil penelitian tidak terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara rerata waktu tidur dengan IMT di akhir pengamatan, namun terdapat korelasi yang signifikan (p 0.01) antara rerata kalori harian dengan IMT di akhir pengamatan.
