Pengaruh Paparan Asap Rokok Tersier terhadap Diameter Arteri Koronaria Mencit Jantan (Mus musculus)

Abstract


Abstract. Third-hand Smoker (THS) is someone who does not smoke but inhales cigarette smoke that settles in the environment after the cigarette is extinguished. Deposits of tertiary cigarette smoke can cause changes in bodily functions, including cardiovascular. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of tertiary cigarette smoke exposure on coronary artery diameter in male mice. This research is an in vivo laboratory experimental study with a completely randomized design. The research subjects were 20 mice which were divided into two groups, namely the control group and the treatment group that received exposure to tertiary cigarette smoke for 30 days. After exposure, the male mice are sacrificed by cervical discolation, then dissected and removed from the cardiac. Preparations were made from the cardiac organ between the apex and the inferior border of the heart to get a transverse view of the left anterior coronary artery, and the posterior circumflex coronary artery was carried out at a cross-section at the level of the atrium. The results showed that the diameter of the anterior coronary artery treatment group (33.37 µm) was smaller than the control group (37.19 µm), and the diameter of the posterior coronary artery treatment group (47.07 µm) was smaller than the control group (61, 87 µm). Mann Whitney test results for anterior coronary arteries and independent t-test for posterior coronary arteries showed p values above 0.05 (p> 0.05). These results indicate a narrowing of the diameter of the anterior and posterior coronary arteries which is not significant. This might be influenced by the time, dose, and parameters used. Conclusion, there is no effect of tertiary cigarette smoke exposure on coronary artery diameter in male mice.

Abstrak. Third-hand Smoker (THS) adalah seseorang yang tidak merokok tetapi menghirup asap rokok yang mengendap di lingkungan setelah rokok dipadamkan. Endapan asap rokok tersier dapat mengakibatkan perubahan fungsi tubuh, termasuk kardiovaskular. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh paparan asap rokok tersier terhadap diameter arteri koronaria mencit jantan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental laboratorium in vivo dengan rancangan acak lengkap. Subjek penelitian 20 ekor mencit yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan yang mendapat paparan asap rokok tersier selama 30 hari. Setelah pemaparan selesai mencit jantan dikorbankan dengan cara diskolasi servikal, kemudian dibedah dan diambil organ jantung. Dibuat preparat dari organ jantung diantara apex dan batas inferior jantung untuk mendapatkan gambaran melintang arteri koronaria anterior kiri, dan arteri koronaria sirkumfleks posterior dilakukan pada potongan melintang setinggi atrium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan diameter arteri koronaria anterior kelompok perlakuan (33,37 µm) lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol (37,19 µm), dan diameter arteri koronaria posterior kelompok perlakuan (47,07 µm) lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol (61,87 µm). Hasil uji Mann Whitney untuk arteri koronaria anterior dan uji t independent untuk arteri koronaria posterior memperlihatkan nilai p di atas 0,05 (p>0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan adanya penyempitan diameter arteri koronaria anterior dan posterior yang tidak bermakna. Hal ini kemungkinan dipengaruhi oleh faktor waktu, dosis, dan parameter yang digunakan. Simpulan, tidak terdapat pengaruh paparan asap rokok tersier terhadap diameter arteri koronaria mencit jantan.
