The Directives of Concept for Integrated Settlement Zone Design in Manggar District of East Belitung Regency

Abstract

Belitung Island has many untapped potential or optimally doped land that actually have high economic value with the carrying capacity of human needs, such as found in Manggar District. Manggar District is a place in which there are former tin mining region and kaolin. It has potential land swamp, untapped scrub, and well run. One effort does not cause environmental problems that negatively affect quality of life of the surrounding community. It is necessary to study the direction of the concept of integrated planning of settlement areas in the Manggar District of East Belitung Regency. The purpose of this study was to create a concept design of an integrated residential area that is safe, comfortable, and sustainable, as well as to take advantage of potential land optimally. The approach undertaken was in the form of identification integrated design demands of the residential area, which refers to the theory of urban design elements. Thus obtained landing area planning concept based on the results of the analysis conducted in the form of directives integrated planning concepts residential area in Manggar District East Belitung province.
