Preferensi Penerapan Konsep Biophilic di Kecamatan Coblong, Kota Bandung

Abstract


Abstract. The development of the theory of Green City has been very advanced and developed, but from all the theories of extension, Biophilic City is a new concept that is now a trend in the green urban concept. Being the best solution in improving the quality of human life by maintaining the balance of the relationship between humans and plants is a major advantage offered by Biophilic. The application of this concept to cities that have begun to experience modernization and other implications especially in environmental issues will be very helpful, especially for cities in tropical countries like Indonesia, which are now experiencing urban heat island. One of the cities in Indonesia that is currently experiencing both urban heat island and modernization is the city of Bandung, which previously was an ex-garden city area. This situation created an indication of doubts about the application of the concept of Biophilic City in Bandung, which in this study took the object of the Coblong District. To find out the answers to the doubts indications, an assessment was carried out through the approach method (qualitative and quantitative) in the form of a model of the variables and indicators that have been used by Singapore as a city and country that has been stereotyped as Biophilic City, namely; 6 variables and 24 indicators in the Singapore Green Plan 2012. The data sources used are primary data in the form of questionnaires by spreading to 64 respondents who are conducted in Multistage Random Sampling, and secondary data in the form of library, institutional, and internet research. While the analytical method used in this study is descriptive analysis, statistical analysis of proportions (potential indicators and constraints), and Importance Performance Analysis to see the priority scale of each indicator, as well as the Likert scale to evaluate a program from public perceptions. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, the conclusion is that the application of the Biophilic City concept can be done in Coblong District, Bandung City because it gets 58.33% for 14 potential indicators, while 41.67% for 10 constraint indicators.

Abstrak. Perkembangan teori Green City telah sangat maju dan berkembang, namun dari semua teori perpanjangan tersebut, Biophilic City merupakan konsep baru yang kini menjadi trend dalam konsep perkotaan hijau. Menjadi solusi terbaik dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup manusia dengan menjaga keseimbangan hubungan antara manusia dengan tanaman merupakan keunggulan utama yang ditawarkan Biophilic. Penerapan konsep ini pada perkotaan yang mulai mengalami modernisasi dan implikasi lainnya terutama dalam isu lingkungan akan sangat membantu, khususnya bagi perkotaan di negara tropis seperti Indonesia yang kini tengah mengalami urban heat island. Salah satu kota di Indonesia yang saat ini tengah mengalami baik urban heat island maupun modernisasi ialah Kota Bandung yang mana sebelumnya merupakan kawasan ex-garden city. Keadaan itulah yang membuat terciptanya indikasi keraguan penerapan konsep Biophilic City di Kota Bandung yang dalam penelitian ini mengambil objek wilayah Kecamatan Coblong. Untuk mengetahui jawaban dari indikasi keraguan tersebut dilakukan penilaian melalui metode pendekatan (kualitatif dan kuantitatif) berupa percontohan dari variabel dan indikator yang sudah digunakan Singapura sebagai kota dan negara yang telah terstereotype sebagai Biophilic City yaitu; 6 variabel dan 24 indikator dalam Singapore Green Plan 2012. Adapun sumber data yang digunakan adalah data primer berupa hasil kuesioner dengan menyebar kepada 64 responden yang dilakuakn secara Multistage Random Sampling, serta data sekunder berupa penelitian pustaka, instansional, dan internet. Sedangkan metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif, analisis statistik proporsi (indikator potensi dan kendala), dan Importance Performance Analysis untuk melihat skala prioritas setiap indikator, serta skala likert untuk mengevaluasi suatu program dari persepsi masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan, maka diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan konsep Biophilic City dapat dilakukan di Kecamatan Coblong, Kota Bandung karena memperoleh 58,33% untuk 14 indikator potensial, sementara 41,67% untuk 10 indikator kendala.
