Konstruksi Makna Dalang Wayang Golek Opick Sunandar Sunarya dalam Menyampaikan Pesan-Pesan Budaya Sunda

Abstract


Abstract. Culture is the product of creation, a sense of human nature in meeting the complex needs of his life and includes knowledge, beliefs, art, moral, customary law and every skill and habit. Each region has a different culture, as well as Sundanese land in West Java. In the Sundanese realm there is a culture called "WAYANG Golek". Wayang Golek is one of the traditional puppets in West Java. Unlike the puppet art in other Javanese regions which are usually made of leather, Wayang Golek is a puppet art made of wood. Wayang Golek is very popular and is a favorite of West Javanese residents. In every performance, Wayang Golek is controlled by a person called "DALANG". Puppeteer is a leader, director, or conductor on a puppet show stage, a puppeteer in the world of puppets is defined as someone who has special expertise in playing puppet dolls. This expertise is usually acquired in a hereditary manner from his great-grandfather, as practiced by Wayang Golek hermitage of the "GIRI HARJA" family, which is located in Jelekong Village, Baleendah sub-district, Bandung Regency, is considered successful in maintaining and preserving one of the Sundanese Wayang Golek family.The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze: (1) the motivation of Dalang Opick Sunandar Sunarya in interpreting the mastermind profession: (2) the motives of Dalang Opick Sunandar Sunarya in conveying Sundanese cultural messages: (3) the experience of Dalang Opick Sunandar Sunarya in conveying Sundanese culture messages. The method used in this research is the quality method with the phenomenological approach of Alfred Schhutz through observation techniques, literature studies, and interviews.

Abstrak. Kebudayaan adalah hasil cipta, rasa san karsa manusia dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya yang kompleks dan mencakup pengetahuan, keyakinan, seni, susila, hukum adat serta setiap kecakapan dan kebiasaaan. Setiap daerah memiliki kebudayaan yang berbeda begitu pula dengan tanah sunda di daerah Jawa Barat. Di ranah sunda ada sebuah kebudayaan yang disebut “Wayang Golek†. Wayang Golek adalah kesenian wayang tradisional jawa barat. Wayang Golek ini sangat popular dan digemari oleh warga Jawa Barat. Wayang Golek dikendalikan oleh “DALANGâ€. Dalang diartikan sebagai seseorang yang mempunyai keahlian memainkan wayang. Keahlian ini biasanya didapat secara tutun temurun dari kakek buyutnya, seperti yang dilakukan oleh padepokan Wayang Golek keluarga “GIRI HARJA†yang berlokasi di Kelurahan Jelekong kecamatan Baleendah Kabupaten Bandung ini dinilai sukses dalam mempertahankan dan melestarikan salah satu kebudayaan sunda Wayang Golek secara turun temurun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis : : (1) motovasi Dalang Opick Sunandar Sunarya dalam memaknai profesi dalang: (2) motif Dalang Opick Sunandar Sunarya dalam menyampaikan pesan-pesan-budaya sunda: (3) pengalaman Dalang Opick Sunandar Sunarya dalam menyampaikan pesan-pesan budaya sunda. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatig dengan pendekatan fenomenologi Alfred Schhutz melalui teknik observasi, studi putska, dan wawancara.
